Ask God
Scripture (KJV): And David inquired at the Lord,
saying, shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them? And he
answered him, pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without
fail recover all. (I Samuel 30:8)
Lesson: David asked The Lord a question. The Lord told him to
pursue and he would succeed. Two hundred of his men could no longer travel
because they were emotionally drained from their recent loss and they were
exhausted physically because they had marched three days to Ziklag. David
left the two hundred there and went south with the remaining four hundred
men while they were tired, yet pursuing. David knew he was short on man
power, yet he inquired at The Lord about what to do. David felt the odds
were against him but he also knew that with God, victory was still
possible. We can become emotionally drained because of our circumstances.
We can get tired of marching towards the finish line, yet we have to keep
asking God what to do. If the answer remains the same, keep pursuing
because you are headed to victory. The safest place to be is in the will
of God. Even if He has you in an uncomfortable place, remember, we can
learn obedience through the things we suffer. If you don’t know what to
do…ask God. He is with you and He will lead you to victory if you trust
and obey Him.
Let us continue to pray for one another. Pray that we all continue to
grow in His likeness and be the people He is calling us to be. Let your
light continue to shine and glorify God. Live holy and pray always. Peace
and blessings to you.
